One day, after coming out of a grocery store, my car just refused to start. After I got it towed home, it started, and stayed running for a little while. When I put into gear, it cut off. Ever since, it hasnt started again. It will turn, but thats it. I sent it to a mechanic who cant figure out what the problem is. He claims its not a timing issue. Any ideas? Sensors? Fuel Pressure issue?

**UPDATE!**

TURNS OUT IM NOT RECIEVING SPARK ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE IGNITION COIL. THE IGNITION COIL IS ALSO WRAPPED UP IN ELECTRICAL TAPE WHICH IS PRETTY STRANGE. I ORDERED ANOTHER COIL, BUT IM JUST CURIOUS. WILL THE COMPUTER AUTOMATICALLY THROW A CODE FOR A FAULTY IGNITION COIL. CAN YOU STILL CHECK FOR CODES WITH THE CAR NOT RUNNING?
HOW CAN I KNOW ITS THE IGNTION COIL, AND NOT THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR?
