2004 Hyundai Santa Fe won't start

My car won't start on the first try right after I fill the tank with gas. Each occurance afterwards it will start on the first try. It's only when I just fill the tank with gas that it won't start and I have to gun the gas pedal to get it to start and keep giving it gas to take off and keep it going w/out it dying out. It will start after a 2nd or 3rd try of hitting the gas pedal while cranking.
Any ideas?
