Car was not driven for 4 days. Started out, drove for about 20 minutes. All fine. At a red light, engine light comes on. Upon acceleration, was hesitant, I thought it might stall but didn't. Lacked power, loping. Went somewhat OK for about 10 miles at about 40 mph tops until stopping at my destination. It never stalled.
When stopped, with car in park, engine revved smoothly when pedal pushed. In neutral, no rev at all. No noise.
After the car sat for about 1 hour, it started fine, check engine light still on, but ran fine. Even after warming up, all was normal. Check light still on now.

Hello –

I will need a little more info to better assist you. Is your engine a 2.7L or a 3.5L. Also the model of your vehicle, is it just a Santa Fe, or a GLS or a LX.

Next, please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O’Reilly’s (OR) and for FREE they can pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don’t get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that. While there for FREE also they can bring their tester out and check your battery, alternator and starter.

Let me know
