fuel pressure?

i have a 2004 santa fe it just shut off going down the road the fuel filter is making a clicking sound..could the fuel filter went out??

Hi,
the filter has nothing in it that could click. The fuel pump is another story. It is in the fuel tank. Start by checking fuel pump pressure.

If you don't have a gauge, many parts stores will rent them or you can purchase one at the test equipment store site on this page.

With a fuel pressure gauge.

You sure didn't provide many details to work with. You didn't even bother to list the engine size so I don't know if your engine has a fuel pressure test port. If it doesn't, you have to insert a "tee" fitting in the rubber fuel hose.

Many auto parts stores rent or borrow tools. Those that do will have the pressure gauge.

If it has a port it will be on the fuel rail
