2003 Hyundai Santa Fe ticking noise in top rear engine
Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Hyundai Santa Fe 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 72000 miles
Just replaced my worn out engine with a used one with 72000 miles. Had a vacuum leak but fixed it, now the truck runs great but there is a ticking noise from the rear top of the engine (lifter?). I heard that aftermarket oil filters restict oil flow ? What oil viscocity to use. Can someone help !!!

It does sound like a lifter. As far as the oil filter, any name brand filter is fine to use. They won't restrict oil flow. I looked up the recommend oil. If you have the 2.7 and it is from an 2003, mitchelle online lists 10W30.
