The Story:
Car has been running rough for a few weeks or a couple of months. I'm not certain since this is my wifes vehicle. Today it "made a rattling sound" then cleared up for 0.1 mile then quit. The check engine light never came on. This is when i received the telephone call.

The facts:
Engine will turn over with no start. There is not a hint of a hit. I suspect electrical. I then buy a scan tool (been needing one anyway)
scan tool returned P0340 trouble code, which is, "Cam shaft Position sensor A - Bank 1 Circuit Malfunction".

More story:
I looked for broken or damaged wires and did not find any. I then purchased and installed a Camshaft Position Sensor. No change. I erased the trouble code, and tried again. No change. I checked the code again the P0340 was back. Went back to autoparts store to purchase a hyundai repair manual. They did not have one for the Santa Fe. Left my wife's car parked downtown and came home. I need to go back in the morning with my multi meter to trouble shoot the circuit, but I don't know the readings that I should have or the locations I should take them. The repair manual would really help here a lot, but I don't really want to leave the car overnight again, while I wait on one to be shipped to me. A wiring diagram and voltage readings at different locations would help tremendously, if anyone has that information available.
