Make: Hyundai; Model: Elantra; Year: 2004; Mileage: 54600; Engine Size: 2.0 L w/DOHC; Question: In park, car typically idles at just below 1000 RPM. Here lately, it has been "jumping" to 2000 RPM before returning to normal. Over a few minutes it will do this a couple times. I can also feel the RPM's "jump" when I come out of a stop after I take my foot off of the brake but before I press the accelerator. What could be the problem and is this something that would be covered under my warranty? Joanne R.

Have the idle air control actuator, throttle position and manifold absolute pressure sensors.

Could also be fuel pressure problem

Warranty dunno there's no TSB's/Recalls, might want to check the dealer.
