Replacing timing belt

2003 hyundia accent 1.6L auto 112,000m
timing belt broke need to know what position cam and crank pulleys need to be in also cannot find a mark on crank pulley, thanks

Hi there,

The cam shaft has a hole and at the 12 O'clock position it will line up with a notch on the backing plate, the crank shaft has a timing notch at about the 1 O"Clock position. check the bearings on the idler and the tensioner pulley, and do a comp test after as these engines can do valve damage with a broken belt.
