From last few days the engine light was coming up I checked the oil which was totally finished below the lowest mark I put in the oil(i checked it last month it was fine ). But engine light still comes up when give accelerator and car also jerks it seems like its not getting enough power. But becomes ok when drive about 10 miles.
Please advise.

I think I took away from your posting that the check engine light on the car is "ON". You need to have the car scanned for the codes it has stored. Don't know the year of the vehicle, but if newer that 95 the OBD2 scanner would pull the code for you. Let us know.
