Hi,

I have a question regarding my 2008 Elantra GLS. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times (2 different dealers) and they say this is normal. When I am coming to a stoplight especially with the a/c on, the car, for lack of a better term, quickly shudders before it comes to a stop (sometimes worse than others). There is never a drop in RPM to an abnormal level and it has never stalled. Does this seem normal? Is this because it is a 4 cylinder engine (I am used to driving a 6). Also, I feel something similar to a shudder in the floorboard when at idle (but not always). I looked under the car and my foot is sitting very close to where the exhaust is so not sure if that has something to do with it. Am I just over analyzing all of this? Thanks.

Hi jlombardi002,

Since yor car is still new, I don't think there should be any vibrations that can be felt when stopping. If both dealers say it is normal, then maybe the car was not designed well.

Get a different opinion before coming to a conclusion.
