Air Conditioning problem
2006 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My wife's 2006 elantra has been having trouble with the a/c. When driving doing at least about 45 and up the a/c blows nice cold air. As soon as she hits a light or traffic it blows warm air. What could this be from? Is it something I can fis or replace myself? Money is very tight. Thanks for your time. Michael

Hi there, you will first have to check the charge of the A/C refrigerant and also ensure that the condenser fan is working with the A/C on, best way to check the charge is to view the sight glass in the receiver dryer (most types have a sight glass on the top) with the air turned on it should bubble up and then clear (normal) if it bubbles are there all the time the system is low on refrigerant.
