Is a manufacturer produced battery the only battery that works for replacement for this model car? I have asked around at all my local parts stores( Napa, checkers, etc.) And nobody had a listing for these hyundai batteries. Instead I had to measure the dimensions and CCA's of my battery to get one that would fit, but when I installed it I found that the manufacturers battery terminal does not fit an over the counter battery. And frankly the positive cable is to short to replace with a generic terminal. Any ideas besides hauling to a Hyundai dealership 4 hrs away for overpriced repairs?

Go back to your local parts store, and request them a group size 24 if your battery box can fit 10 11/16" length, or group size 25 if the box can only fit 9 1/16" length. Do not use the generic 75/35DT.

If the battery posts are on the opposite sides, request for 24F or 35, depending on the dimension.
