1998 hyundai elantra bought from original owner with 34,000 miles. Drove it a few days and the airbag light came on. Trieid to scan for an airbag code and could not communicate. Took it to the hyundai dealer and they tried 3 different computers and had no communication. They recommended I buy an airbag module. I did(a used one) and it changed nothing. Now the dealer says it will cost around 600 dollars to track this down. I don't have this kind of money- any help will be appreciated.

Hi
With no communication it is impossible to pinpoint fault. Dealer would have to check every module, sensor, wiring, clockspring etc. And that would cost.
The moduel you replaced was it in steering wheel? Turn key on does SRI light flash 6 times?
Let me know
Thanks for donate

I did disconnect the battery when I installed the new module- I did it again today- Left the negative terminal off approx 2 minutes. Reconnected it and turned on the key- It flashed 6 times and stayed on-
What do I do now?
