Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl 97000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car recently broke down on the way to work. The engine completely shut down like it wasn't getting fuel. There were no error codes that came up on diagnostic. I didn't hear the fuel pump kick on so I just finished changing the fuel pump.
Now I hear the fuel pump kick on when I turn over the engine but the car will still not start.
I did have to empty the gas tank before I changed the fuel pump so I'm thinking it's not gettting any fuel.
Could there be air in my lines? How would I go about purging the air from my lines?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil,distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors-
