Never had problem, went to start, had electricity, turn key headlights go out and hear a "click" from the fuse box in the engine compart and nothing else. Removed the battery had it tested, it was fine. Put the battery back in and it started. Today started fine drove around went to store and came back out to have same problem again. Cables look good connection looks good. Any Ideas?

It could be a few things. First, make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight. Also, the ground on the engine block.

Next, check the starter relay. It could be bad and that is where you hear the click from.

Finally, if that is good and the problem is happening, have a helper turn the key to the start position and check for power to the smaller wire on the starter. It should get 12+ volts. If it doesn't then check the ignition switch. If it does, the starter must be going bad.

Let me know what you find or if you have any questions.

Joe
