Problem only happens when engine is cold. Car chugs and orange engine light flashes, after a couple of seconds the engine picks up but the light continues to flash for about 30 secs after. Within 5 mins all is fine with the engine and the light no longer flashes. This issue started about 6 weeks ago after the car was left unused for 6 days. I have had no trouble with the car before this.

This sounds like a bad spark plug or a bad ignition coil and the flashing light means that the catalytic converter is being damaged and you should have this fixed straight away mate! ♥
