Engine Cooling problem
1996 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 120258 miles
The needle on the temperature gauge goes crazy (up and down)intermitently. I know the car temperature is OK (not over heated). What is happening? How can it be fixed? Thanks for your attention.

Test the engine coolant temperature sensor and its wiring. Its located below no.5
