Hood release cable installation

I've got it off but can't locate the hole to thread it back into the engine bay.

I attached the process but unfortunately it is not the best picture. I would suggest just looking from under the dash and follow where the cable would run and you should be able to find its hole and then just put a screw driver through it or something so you can see if from the engine compartment.

Let me know if you still can't find it and we can try something different.

Okay. It may be behind the carpet or even a wiring harness is hiding it.

Let me know if you still can't find it and I will try to find a detailed picture or video. I looked quickly but couldn't find one. Thanks

Thank you. I had no luck locating it. I did find a small hole in the carpet that I followed through. It has a rubber piece that I poked with my finger and put the cable through but as far as I could tell it never came into the engine bay.

That is strange. Is there a way you can get a picture of the hole you found and maybe I can help figure out what that may be and help find where the cable goes through?
