My 99 prelude sh is having shifting problems. On the first gear it shifts ok but theres a wierd buzz noise when I clutch. Then when I clutch to shift to second gear it doesnt goin or it goes in sort of rough. Sometimes it makes a wierd zzzzzzzzcrk noise when it does go in gear. It does this with all the gears. Is it time fora new clutch.

Two things to try. First, put the car in first gear and start the car. Hold your foot on the brake and slowly let out the clutch. Note if the engine just flatout dies or if it hesitates like the clutch is slipping.

Secondly, I would look at the clutch fluid level. It sounds like it is low. If so, you need to look at whether it is the slave unit located by the tranny or the master unit where the fluid resevoir is located. It could be either one. Note wear any fluid could be leaking.
