Car Shakes

I have a 01 Honda Prelude (2.2 v-tech). I recently hit a pretty decent size pot hole and now I am having an issue with the front end. The front end is bouncing, I'm not sure which side it is coming from (I have a feeling that it is the right side). The steering wheel shakes horribly; however there doesn't seem to be an alignment issue because the car will still go straight if I let go of the wheel. I'm trying to get an idea of what it may be so that I can try some things myself without having to take it in. Any ideas?

A couple of things come to mind. First, is the lift the front end and rotate the tires. Observe the rim to ensure that it is true. Look at the tread and note any pattern of shifting as the wheel rotates. You might have a cord that has been broken.

Next I would look to see if the wheel weights that were probably installed have fallen off.

Another thing to look at is the front suspension to see if anything is bent.

If none of these tell you the answer, I would take it to the alignment rack.
