I have a leaking head gasket I think, I burn 1 liter of oil for every oil change or 5000km. How can I fix the leak? Do I need to replace all my gaskets or just the head gasket? Is my engine being harmed if I just keep the oil level up? How soon do I need to do the repair?

To lose 1 liter to leakage means the leak must be very bad.

If not then you might have valve seal and/or piston oil ring problem which will burn off the oil.

With enough oil, the engine would run ok, but if it is burning oil, the plug would foul up much faster than they should. Engine power would not be 100 %.
