1993 Honda Prelude hard to shift

hey, I have a 93 honda prelude h23a manual trans. It has about 260000 miles. It drives fine but then sometime when I get in and start it up and try to back out my drive way it or shift to 1st gear it wouldn't even move in any gears, its weird because it would be driving perfect and shifting smoothly then all of a sudden when I cut it off then crank it back up it wouldn't want to shift in any gears. So I roll it down the hill and force it into 2nd while I mash on the clutch and give it a little gas and all the gears are live that, then after a while of driving it like that. After a while of drivin it like that it begans to shift smooth again. My clutch is good, my fluid is good, cylinders good. Does this sould like a shifter problem or shift linkage and why would it all of a sudden act like crap then work fine again?
