Transmission problem
1993 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I recently bought a 93 prelude SI with a F22B motor swap in it. It has the 5 sp transmission in it. On a long trip a couple weeks ago my clutch fluid ran out, and I had to speed shift it to where I was going. Currently I have no clutch pedal at all. I've changed out the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder. After bleeding the system I have clutch pressure, but not for long, I believe the problem is a part that is leaking, because I've noticed moisture around the part, but I cannot find out what the part is so I can order it, I've taken it 2 other mechanics and and part stores, and no one knows what it is. The part is mounted on the transmission, and is located under the distributor, the clutch fluid line if traced backwards from the clutch slave cyclinder runs thru this part and has a another line that goes behind the motor and to the clutch master cylinder. I had one guy tell me it was a clutch proportioning valve, but I've searched for it online and other places and it doesn't show anything. I hope you can tell me what this part is or maybe if there is something else wrong.
thank you

Hi beighman63b,

Thank you for your donations.

The item you are referring to is known as the "Clutch Damper". It is a non-serviceable item and if it is leaking, replacement is the only option.

It may be bypassed but the clutch pedal feel would be different.
