When car is in idle, sometimes the engine will shut off. When it is running, car will jerk and lose power for a moment and run fine again. RPM needle goes up and down when car loses power. There was one day that the engine shut off and wont start back again. After 2 days, starts fine again. These problems comes and goes. Sometimes it will do it once a week. Sometimes everyday.

How much does the RPM flucuate by?

If the tachometer needle is not representing what the actual engine speed is, then it is most likely your ICM that has failed.

You should run some ICM/igniter tests. What you will most likely find is that you will have to replace the ICM inside the distributor.
