So I've figured that I need the clutch replaced on a 92 honda prelude. I've got some mechanical knowledge. I've worked on cars, airplanes and helicopters some time ago. I've got the tools but is this something I should do myself or should I seek professional help?

Hi aferrero,

This is a mechanical job that you should be able to handle based on the experience that you have.

The only thinlg you need to get is the procedures onhow to do it and most of it can be achieved by visually inspecting and understanding the layout.

The most dificult part would be to align the clutch disc if you do not have any special tools. another item would be to remount the trans onto the engine. Apart from that the others are remove and install.

thanks for the info KHLow2008. I'm feeling somewhat confident to try this job. We found a repair manual and we're going to give it a try. It doesn't look too complicated. I guess we'll find out. Thanks agian...
