Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 261xxx miles
I want to buy a 1990 honda prelude as my first car. I test drove it and I think it needs cv joint/axle done because when i turn right the left front wheel makes a continuous clicking noise. The engine probably needs a tuneup because it idles really low and has a low power output. I'm in fifth gear if i wanna go 90-100. And it has 261xxx kms. It is rusted through slightly above the rear wheel wells and may need a new battery. Has a crack in the windshield (minor problem). There is no spare tire. Ummm also he hasn't changed the engine oil in a year. And the brakes need to be replaced. because i can hear grinding when i brake hard. The clutch and tranny seem to be ok. It doesn't pop out of gears. he was asking 1200 and we agreed at 800. Is this an okay price? Or should i tell him lower? I need your expertise please! Thanks.
