My car wont start sometimes, and its starting to become a problem. I have had the car for a year and half and it only failed to start once or twice in the first year. Now, its almost an everyday thing. It does not seem to matter if the engine is hot or cold, it turns over and fires, but just wont start. If I turn the key and hold it, it continues to fire but wont pick up and run. My first thought was an automatic choke, but I dont even know if the car has one. When it wont start, we just wait a few moments, sometime minutes, and then it starts up just fine. Please help me!!

If its running while key at starting position if this is correct and you let go it dies out and also you have to wait before it starts. Sounds like the ignition switch or the main relay
