Electrical problem
1985 Honda Prelude 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

1985 Honda Prelude Died As If It Had A Drained Battery. But, After Buying A New Battery, Changing Out The Alternator And A New Voltage Regulator, We Are Still Experiencing A Drain On The Battery. Its A New Battery And Once It Starts It Shows A 11.6 But After Its Been Running We Are Only Getting 10 Volts. Then After Its Been Running About 3 To 5 Minutes It Dies Because It Has No Power. What Could Be Causing This?

Hi catlingal,

The charging sysem is faulty and not providing sufficient charge to the battery.

Is alternator equipped with IC regulator or does it has a separate voltage rtegulator?
Did you test the charging voltage at the alternator main terminal?

Does the charge indicator light shows?
