Any advise and help would be very much appreciated.
The transmission "D" light on the dashboard start flashing every so many days.
The car shifts & drives fine, but I noted sometime it hesitated to shift from 4th to 5th @ 60mph 2800rpm, so I would released a little pressure on the gas paddle & reaccelerated. By doing this it dropped to 2000rmp & shifted to 5th. Or if I kept the foot on the gas paddle. It will eventually shifted to 5th at about 3100rpm 70mph.

Anyway, took to Honda and they pull codes P0700, P0845 & P1740.
They explained:
P0700 = Auto Transmission Control System
P0845 = problem in 3rd clutch pressure switch circuit
P1740 = problem in 4th clutch pressure switch circuit

However, they said they will not just replace the 3rd & 4th clutch pressure switches per codes P0845 & P1740. But they will have to replace the WHOLE transmission because there is a code P0700.

I just thought if it is really necessary to replace the whole Tran when there is a code P0700.

Thanks a lot for looking

Hi victoriaethan,

P0700 means there is at least 1 or more transmission related problems which is not fuel related.

I don't see any reason why the trans has to be replaced.

Solving P0845 and P1740 should do the trick. These are circuit problems and it could be due to loose or contaminated wire connections which might not require replacement ot the switches. Get some one to check the wire harness first.
