My engine idle is to high, RMP's are up to high, and small coil wire by large wire is out of place on the idle mechanism. When it is plug in right, it will not start, with the RPM's up the front breaks are taking the pressure of the SUV wanting to still propel forward.

Hi laverne_48,

Is the Check Engine Light indicating and did you retrieve for trouble codes?

Do you mean the IAC wire harness is bad and does not allow vehicle to be started if plugged in? Is the connector intact or the wires are loose?

Check for vacumn leakages. Any leakage after the throttle body would result in the idling speed increasing.

Check the IAC, if it is bad and stuck in open position, the idling speed would remain high.
