Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Honda Passport 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I am a woman, and don't always get the best help from our local auto parts store. My husband is away for one year and I cannot afford to take my car to the shop right now. I need to replace a pipe on my exhaust. I am very handy and I believe I can do this, but I don't know the name of the part. If I describe it to you, perhaps you will know the name and I can order the part. It is a pipe that branches off from the main exhaust line towards the passenger side just below the front seat area. It has a metal plate protecting it. It is approx. 12" long and 3" in diameter. It looks flexible because it is ribbed, similar to a dryer hose. It is connected on each end with bolts and there appears to be gaskets at each connection. This part is cracked clean through and needs to be replaced. Can you tell me the name of this part from my description?

Thank you,
alfi

I would go in to the auto parts store like advance auto and tell them you need a peace of exhaust that starts from the cat converter to you muffler. They should have them pre bent or they will have to order you one. Its pretty easy to take of and install you should be able to do it.
