My 1993 honda won't stay started. I was driving down the street to go put some gas in my car because it was low. Then I ran out of gas, so I coasted to the gas station. After filling my gas up to half way, it started up again but once I got back on the road it cut off. I tried several times and it will run for a little bit and turn off. what should I do?

you have to find out if its fuel related or you have another problem that just arose at the some time. I do know that these models had a problem with their ignition switches and the car would just shut off on its own but it would restart again for A LITTLE WHILE.

start the car and keep your had on the key. let it run until it starts to die. quickly put a little turning pressure on the key (like your going to start it again) if i keeps running, it's the switch. being a 93 it could be anything. best to take it some where and have it scanned for codes....
