The front seat passenger complains of heat either coming from under the seat or from the door side of the car... this is with the AC set on about 74 and the dash vents putting out cold air. I picked-up an article today on the floor behind the passenger seat after a short road trip and it was very warm. What is the most likely problem?

Hi Big Daddy0,

The most likely problem would be the air mix door is not working correctly and allowing heated air to be blown from heater core. Though the heater might not be used, the heater core would still heat up as the return hose is not closed and heat can be transferred from engine to heater core.
