1990 Honda CRX electrical draw
Electrical problem
1990 Honda CRX 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 230000 miles
my 1990 honda crx keeps aon draining the bateries power aver night and then the following morning i find my self with a dead baterty they told me the alternator is good and thats its probably the voltage distribruator i know its not the baterty because i have replased it with a new one alot of times i think its a short on the electrical system

Hi there,
You will need to do current draw test, do this by placing an Amp meter between the battery Pos terminal & the battery lead, with the key off & doors closed, check the currant draw, if over around .2Amp start pulling fuses & fusible links to locate the problem circuit, also don't discount a faulty Alternator as a blown diode in the regulator will cause this as well but the alt will still charge albeit at a slightly reduced rate.
