I have just replaced a full clutch assembly with pressure plate. The mechanic said my spring popped. I didn't think the clutch was really bad now the new clutch is the way the old clutch was slips, going into first is the worse.
When the old clutch felt like this I adjusted it and it seemed ok, still not perfect. So I don't want to just adjust this one, i'd like to find the problem.

Sorry I worded that badly, the spring that popped was on the old clutch I replaced, the new one is slipping like the old one did before the clutch blew. So I think it's something else causing it to go, like the cable? The way it's adjusted or actual length?

JDM B16a swap into a CRX si '90
