Wipers on my 89 CRX Si work, but when I turn the switch to the off position they will go all the way down and then rise about 3-4 inches from the bottom of the windshield to a complete stop.

Also, the intermittent setting only works when it wants to. The normal and high speeds work perfect.

I have removed the wiper arms and put them in the correct position but continue with them defaulting to the 1/3 up the windshield when turned off.

Also, wind turbulence when driving on the freeway will slowly push the wipers up the windshield.

Hi jacksonww,

The intermittent and parking circuits are controlled by the integrate control unit plugged into the underdash fuse box. It is either faulty or has bad connections.

As to the wiper moving upwards due to wind force. Check if the wiper links have any slack. Lift up both wiper arms and try twisting them lightly to test for free travel. Excessive free travel indicates a bad wiper link assy.
