1989 Honda CRX Manual

hello i wanted to see if u guys could help me i have a 89 honda crx si and am replacing the water pump and timing belt the only problem i have is getting the crank bolt off do i clockwise or counter clockwise for it to come off? if u could help me out please its the only thing stopping me.

You turn it counter clockwise.

If you are doing this with hand tools, you have two choices.

1)purchase a crank pulley holder tool, that will hold the crankshaft and allow you to break the bolt loose.

2)remove the starter and put a pry bar on the flywheel, this will also stop the engine from turning over while you remove the bolt.

If you have an air impact gun that will work too.
