Noises problem
2003 Honda CRV 4 cyl All Wheel Drive 68900 miles

when I turn my car to the left, there is a deep rumbling/grating sound. Just had repairs done that do not seem to have fixed the problem. Tires were replaced, a leak in the struts was addressed and premium oil change was done using a thicker oil

The oil change, struts, and tires have nothing to do with a grinding noise when turning left. Does the sound go away when you drive straight? Were the brakes checked? Did they make sure the backing plate on the rear of the rotor isn't rusted or bent and hitting the rotor? Also, is it a clicking sound or truly a grinding? Did they check the CV joints and universal joints?

Let me know.

Joe

Sorry, I wanted to add that I don't know what weight oil they put in the engine, but I strongly recommend staying within the manufacturer's recommendations based on temperature. Also, did they check the hub bearings?
