2001 Honda CRV accelerator pedal sticks

wrong category but none other was right either: from time to time while driving, my accelerator pedal won't go down--as if there were a rock or something hard underneath it. Obviously, it won't accelerate when that happens. My mechanic said my throttle was gunked up? Does that sound right to you and what do you suggest I do? Thanks

Yeah it could be. You need to access it and scrub it out. Actually this pretty well explains it:

I like to use a bottle brush and strong intake cleaner when I do it.
