2000 Honda CRV Check Engine Light and rough idle

Engine Performance problem
2000 Honda CRV 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual 75k miles

I have a 2000 Honda CRV with 75K miles, it was my father in-law car, It has a check engine light says multiple misfies cylinders 1, 2, 3 and 4. Have replaced spark plugs, cap and rotor. Have Olms spark plug wires, they read low. Did running compression test said 75psi on all cylinders, did pass Colorado Emissions Test this year.

Rough Ide at stop sign, is wondering if it could be the timing belt since it has not been replaced.

Hi colocowgirl,

Are you sure it is 75 psi? At this compression pressure, I doubt you would be able to start vehicle.

Timing belt would only cause misfiring if there are too much slack and at 75 k, the mileage is not due for replacement though the time frame is up.

Did you check the fuel pressure? Low pressure would cause misfiring as welll since you have cheked all the ignition system components.
