I need to replace the left side mirror, glass only. How can I do this without pulling the mirror?

Hi david baer,

There are 2 types of mirror glass.
1st type is a clip on type with 2 tabs on top and 2 locks at bottom. Pull at lower portion of glass base and lift up and glass will come free.

Installation is in reverse order, take care not to apply too much force, you might crack the glass. Using a thick card board or poly propylene would help spread the force.

2nd type requires a screw to be loosened from the service hole at lower part of mirror housing. Unloosen the screw and you can pull mirror base out. There will be 2 round headed screw type locks which you have to pry loose.
