Brakes problem
1999 Honda CRV Four Wheel Drive Manual 105000 miles

abs and hand brake warning light on all time been informed that problem is a rear wheel speed censor could you inform me if this is correct car been on diagnostic machine showing no problem with abs system

Hi fmh1955,

If the trouble code for the ABS shows it is the sensor concerned, then it should be correct.

But if there are no problem with the ABS, then it cannot be a fault with any sensors.

Check the brake master cylinder fluid level. If level is correct, unplug the fluid level sensor on cap of reservoir and see if the light goes off whjen the hand brake is released.

If it is not a fault with low fluid level or the level sensor, check the hand brake switch. Unplug it to test.
