PLZ!!!! I need help.....I was at youth group last night and after i went to CASEYS genral store. While inside i shut my car off. When i came back outside there was two guys standing next to my car. i started it and about a mile down the road it just started sputtering and slowing way down when i gave it alot of gas.....I DROVE 10 MPH FOR A WHOLE HOUR TO MAKE IT HOME! Could this be caused from sugar? Its my first car and im pretty upset about it. Its a 1984 Honda Civic CRX 5.1 litter engine. Thanks.

It could be and I assume you have good reason to believe they would stoop that low. Others may be able to give you other advise, but I would pull the carb off and clean it. Might not hurt to take it apart and put in a carb kit. Drain the tank and fill it with a new fill of fresh gas. Change the fuel filter. Take it from there and see how it goes.

I would love to see the 5.1 liter engine!

That is hard to say at this point.

Another thought as I looked at this again is to pull the plugs and add a little oil to the cylinder. Then while the plugs are out turn the engine over a couple of times. Let the oil work on any deposits on the walls of the cylinders. Do all of this as soon as possible. Good luck!
