200O Honda Civic EX - 160,000 - straight stick- -well maintained - Had oil change - car holds 3.5 qts. - mechanic used 4 qts + 1 pt. of additive. Left garage, CHECK ENG. light came on, car stalls at every traffic light or when I slow down - returned to garage & they drained some of the oil. Said they adjusted the idleing ( said it was a little low) & disconneced the + Battery cable so the computor would reset. Check Eng. light has not come back on but car still stalls. Before I take it back again and complain ( @#%&$#) , could this problem stem from the over fill of oil? What's the first area that should be checked or replaced. Donation forthcoming.
