I have a soppy shifter what should I di to fix it?

I also have a Transmission that pops out of second and grinds 3rd gear how should that I fix those.

I suck at guessing games. What is the tranny and car we are talking about? More info please. Feed me.

Off the top of my head I would say it is a manual tranny. I would say you linkage to the tranny at the shifter is worn and failing. A guess would be that the car is pre 1995.
