hi i own a 1.5 vtec civic 1994 it has around 200000 miles. 2 months ago while driving the revs died. before that it was getting hard to start from hot or cold.. if its of any relevance! it won't start since. i've had several mechanics look at it but none can fix it. we tried new injectors a new ecu and a new distributor all of which were proven to work just not on my car. There is spark and fuel getting to the engine any ideas??

check the timing chain to see if it skipped a tooth or is loose.

It could be the timing, but I might suspect that it is not the timing belt at fault. I would venture a guess that either the cam or crank shaft position sensor has gone out. Now, you might say that sense it is getting spark they can't be at fault. This is not true, I have experienced times when a car would not start, had spark but further investigation proved that the spark came at a wrong time in the cycle. Have them checked out.
