Key stuck in Ignition

I have a 2000 Honda Civic with 100000 k. My key is periodically getting stuck in the ignition and is unable to be removed. Waiting a few hours and trying again seems to be the only way to get it out.
The steering wheel is not locked and the key will go all the way to the 0 postition without problem.

Any ideas?

Try to pour some lubricant inside the cam.
(use dry powdered graphite not liquid lubricant that could damage it)

did you try another key?
Probably your key its to sharp and get stock on the pins.

Hope it helps.

Fisherman is right, you have a sticky key lock mechansim and I would start with the dry lube. It attracts no dust, etc and should do the trick.
