2003 Honda Civic Hybrid clutch or transmission

Transmission problem
2003 Honda Civic Hybrid 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 62000 miles

with engine running and clutch not engaged i can shift through all gears , nothing happens. would this be a worn clutch or manual trans problem. i smell burning material

I had the same issue with the burning clutch/brake smell. I checked, and the rear hubs were much hotter than the fronts after a drive. I narrowed it down to the e-brake system. I took the rear brakes apart and cleaned everything up.

If you can shift gears without pressing the clutch pedal the clutch is worn.

they have faulty transmissions they burn the tranny fluid when they go
