Car: 2000 Honda Civic EX. Automatic. 133500 miles (soon to be 140,000 miles after a trip). Engine is...1.6 liter, is what the Internet says.
History: Purchased used 10/04 with 70K on it; used a lot for an old job, but no longer drive more than 15K a year. Breaks changed in early 2005. last major maintenance was in early 2006: 120K service, timing belt, water pump, other belts. new tires 2/2006. oil change every 2000-3000 miles. no existing issues; runs perfectly as far as i can tell.
Question 1: What is the next big maintenance? All resources I've found drop off at the 120K mile mark. Every 30K miles from now on? More often? Is there written resource?
Question 2: I want to purchase an extended warranty for another 3-4 years. What are the main points that I need protected at this point in my car's life? The "powertrain" policies? Is that essential, or will a piece meal policy do? Please advise.
Quesiton 3: I am about to take off on a 4K mile round trip road trip. Which one of the 40-point-smoething or 80-point or 120-point inspections shoudl I have before I take off?
