2002 Honda Civic 4dr LX, 1.7 liter engine, 85,500 miles. Just had new CV joints installed and there is still a noise coming from the left joint. Have been told it will go away. I believe it's the new boot rubbing against something but I can't seem to locate it. Car runs fine other than the noise.

what type noise? Tinny or rubbing? You should not hear any noise, and for them to say it will go away, probably means they can't find it...does it happen constantlt, or just turning the wheel?

Sounds more like a scraping/rubbing noise. Could it be the dust cover on the caliper?

That's more likly than the boot, just get under there when the brakes are cool so you don't burn your finger! Pull the backing plate away from the rotor...
